Pointing the Way to Christ

John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Compass Youth Ministries is a program which started in September of 2005 at the Welcome Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lemont, IL.

 

Its mission and Five Compass Points are, To Reach the lost teenager, to Encourage each other to be more like Christ, to Connect with other believers, to Discover their ministries, and to Anchor them in God's Word.

Why the name Compass? A compass is a fascinating and very useful device. No matter what direction you are moving when you hold a compass it always shows the way to due North. You can spin, jump up and down, stand on your head and run through the woods backwards but the amazing properties of the compass will always point you in the right direction. That is the goal of Compass Youth Ministries, to offer youth a compass for their journey that is pointed by the cross. 

 We have three teams, the Explorers, Voyagers and Navigators.
